Happy 2020 Everyone!!! Wow, it blows my mind that it’s the beginning of a new year and a new decade. I love the beginning of a new year because sometimes it’s just what you need to reset and refocus. With a new beginning comes you dreams, aspirations and hope. Many people like to do New Years resolution, however I do not like doing that because for me it sets me up for failure. What I do like is setting up goals and having a word for the year.
Now my goals are the same every year however the results are different. I started doing this five or six years ago. At the end of the year it still amazes me how my year goes. I love reflecting back before going forward.
Like I said, my two goals are the same and I have a word for the year. This is what 2019 looked like for me:
Travel some where you never been.
- Roatan, Honduras
- Belize City
- Marathon, Tx
- Marfa, Tx
Learn something new.
- I learned about living a toxin free life. (I will share more about this in the future.)
My 2019 Word was Dreamer.
- Getting engaged and two months later marrying my best friend
- Traveling with my husband
- Working with my favorite Boutique Nana Macs
- Being part of the Reward Style Community
- Started using essential oils and no longer doing allergy shots
2019 was a busy, challenging and rewarding year. I have learned and grown a lot this past year and I’m looking forward to what the next year will bring.
What will 2020 look like?
To be honest, I am scared and excited for 2020. I don’t really know how it will look like but one thing I know is that I hope it takes me out of my comfort zone. I keep my goals very broad so that it will be achievable for me and I don’t put a specific timeline because I can’t personally handle it. I stick to my two broad goals: travel somewhere I’ve never been and learn something new. I allow the Lord to lead, guide and teach me where I need to be. My 2020 word is Change. I hope and pray that through this year the Lord changes and molds me more to the the person He wants me to be.
Here’s to the brand new year and everything that it will bring. I hope it takes us out of our comfort and challenges us to be braver in everything we do. What about you? Do you make a New Years resolution or a New Years goal? Let’s encourage each other to accomplish what it is that we hope to get this year. Happy New Year and thank you for following along on this journey!
Love you all!
