Now that you have finished shopping…it’s time to wrap it up! This is one of my favorite part about giving gifts. Growing up my mom would wrap up the gifts so beautifully and I thought WOW one day I hope I can do that too. I think my mom has influenced me and that is why it has become a favorite.
I typically will choose one type of wrapping paper and add something else to it like a ribbon, ornament, even fresh greenery. If you don’t like the look of one type of wrapping paper then pick a theme like neutral, traditional, or even two colors that compliment each other. Picking a theme will make your gifts look beautiful under the tree.
My favorite places to buy wrapping paper are Hobby Lobby and Target. I like the ones are are thick because it doesn’t rip easily when you handle it. Also a good kind of wrapping paper to have are the ones with guide lines because it makes cutting easy. When choosing your ribbons, choose a wired ribbon if you want more of a structured look and if you want more of a loose curled ribbon look then choose a ribbon that is for curling. Target has so many ribbons to choose from as well as an ornaments if you want to add a little something extra.
The final step is adding a gift tag. I decided to make the tags with chalk paper and cut them using a patterned scissors. If you are short on time then there are so many cute tags at Target. Once you finished, you will have a beautifully wrapped presents under the tree. Hope this inspires you to be creative with your gift wrapping.
