Fun Fact Recap
Today is my birthday and I wanted to share with you a little bit more about me. Every day this week I have been sharing some fun facts on social media. (If you are not following me there, you should!) So here’s a recap of those fun facts. I love celebrating birthdays, I think its super special and worth celebrating the day God choose to debut you to the world! Two of my most favorite things are coffee and chocolate. Combine them together oh my goodness!!! Don’t even ask me to give either one of this up because it will be a major struggle. No I’m not addicted to coffee or chocolate!!! (☕️🍫🤨) Next fun fact is my #1 bucket list. I have an obsession about Paris, and I hope to one day experience everything this city has to offer. The last thing I shared was the one food theme I could eat everyday, which is Asian food. I seriously do not get tired of eating it.
The Main Story
Some of you may not know but I am part Filipino. I was born in the Philippines and moved to America at a young age. I do speak the language but sometimes I’m not confident speaking it just because I don’t use it everyday. I love going back “home” and enjoying all the beautiful sceneries, food, culture and seeing family. I’ll share more about a particular reason later in the story.
As a kid, I had aspired to be so many things. The truth was that I didn’t really know what I wanted to be when I grew up. Guess what??? I still don’t. I have had so many interest growing up and even to this day. Hint…That’s where my tag line comes from “not an expert just a dreamer”! When I was in high I was so involved in everything hoping to find some sort of passion that would tell me what I would want to do with my life. That ultimately left me in a path of brokenness.
I was filling my life with emptiness but I didn’t know at the time, at least I didn’t want to open my eyes to it. After ruining so many relationships I was completely left with nothing and no one. I was given an opportunity to go to the Philippines and so I went. I was there for one month; I went with one mindset but left as a completely different person.
When I returned back to the states, I decided to try and go back to God. I was completely lost and broken but he never left and he restored me. God has a purpose and a plan for my life and I did not know it then that he was moving me in a directions that left me needing Him. It has been a journey, not a smooth journey but its worth it. I decided to completely follow Him and surrender my life to Him.
After a couple years I left for college to starting pursuing the passion that God has placed in my life. So what’s that passion??? I continued to search what exactly was I supposed to do with my life. I got so involved in everything and tried to learn everything that I could. After I graduated, I honestly did not know what I was going to do.
I eventually got a job that I absolutely love doing. I am able to help others as I continue to learn, grow and challenge myself to be better and to always give my best for Christ. One thing that I want to point out is that no matter where you are at in your life God has a purpose and a reason why you are on that path. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139: 14) and that is worth celebrating and giving God the glory.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
